Sazerac Recipe
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. rye whiskey
1.0 oz. cognac
1.0 tsp double strength demerara syrup
2-3 dashes Baldies Ski’s Berry & Fig Bitters
0.25 tsp Absenthe (rinse for glass)
Lemon peel
Directions:
Pour the absenthe into a chilled old fashioned glass and gently swirl to coat as much of the glass as you can without spilling.
In a separate glass, pour the rye, cognac, syrup, and 2-3 dashes of Baldies Ski’s Berry & Fig Bitters with ice.
Stir until cocktail is thoroughly chilled.
Using a hawthorne strainer, pour the cocktail into your absenthe-rinsed glass.
Twist the lemon peel over the cocktail and place in glass.
