Sazerac Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. rye whiskey

  • 1.0 oz. cognac

  • 1.0 tsp double strength demerara syrup

  • 2-3 dashes Baldies Ski’s Berry & Fig Bitters

  • 0.25 tsp Absenthe (rinse for glass)

  • Lemon peel

Directions:

  • Pour the absenthe into a chilled old fashioned glass and gently swirl to coat as much of the glass as you can without spilling.

  • In a separate glass, pour the rye, cognac, syrup, and 2-3 dashes of Baldies Ski’s Berry & Fig Bitters with ice.

  • Stir until cocktail is thoroughly chilled.

  • Using a hawthorne strainer, pour the cocktail into your absenthe-rinsed glass.

  • Twist the lemon peel over the cocktail and place in glass.

  • Enjoy!
